But yes, you work like de La Tour as far as use of light is concerned. I am moved by this image that seems to come from the depths of the ocean, a strange creature that emits its own light in the surrounding darkness.<br /><br />This is, above all, a piece of art where the subject appears as something totally different.<br /><br />A stunning image. By Jove you still have a bit of work to do on noise, I dare say it. I would use Noiseware a bit more aggressively but NOT on the point of major interest. My first was the 20D Canon as you know. Yet a couple of years later the Canon 5D was such a huge advance with its full-frame sensor that I could not resist.<br /><br />So yes, there is something sad in having gone there a bit too late. Personally I would have erased the visible part of the sidewalk border in the bottom left corner. And I would have made a mistake, because it adds to the dissymmetry of the whole, another surprising element among a whole bunch of them!
